The National Museum....
Awesome statutes...
...Unreal...and against such a beautiful sky....
The Colosseo....building began in 72 AD and was finished in 80 AD when it was opened for sport of Gladiator vs Gladiator and Gladiator vs Animal.....and often one would die in the battle of the sport....more time than not!! The building's remains are awesome to see and realize how they have weathered over the ages....
Any trip to Rome has to include St. Peters.....not just St. Peters....but the surrounding square...where on Wednesday there is an audience with the Pope....I have been here for that and if you are in Rome on a Wednesday you must go. Today is Friday...so no audience....just plenty of people...tourists....from all over the world.....to see this....
...check out the beautiful statutes at St. Peters....
These is the wall that separates the Vatican from the Republic of Italy....
On to the Supreme Court of Italy. And, with many buildings of the world undergoing a little renovation.
This theatre was built to resemble the Piazza d Colosseo ....and sure enough is does....only on a smaller scale this one seats only 15, 000.....
The Tevere river transgresses the city of Roma....and has some 25 bridges that cross it.....
As always....the beautiful fountains of Roma....
...even a Roman soldier of old.....
