Buenos Aires - European City in South America.....

The city of Buenos Aires is naturally the largest in Argentina...some 3.5 million in the city itself.  I was taken by the number of buildings and sites that were similar to others in the world....like the Obelisk/Washington Monument...

....and this structure and the Empire State Building.....

I have some other "look-alikes".    But, I when I did a walk of the San Telmo area of Buenos Aires I found some great photo shots...The Plaza de Mayo....with preparations being made for the annual Gay Pride festival/parade.

The  Metropolitan Cathedral  in Plaza de Mayo has some of the "look-alikes"...such as the choir stalls similar to Westminster Abbey...

...its altar....a "mini" of the altar of St. Peter's in Rome.....

...a replica of the organ from the Dom in Cologne (Koln), Germany...

...the stained glass reminiscent of Notre Dame in Paris.....

While the church is Catholic...it is all-inclusive of faith...even diverse to accept Jewish faith....

But of all things...where could you find a changing of the guard in a church....every hour....

Strolling the streets of the San Telmo provided some unique sights....I think I have seen this in DC...right?

....the beauty hidden behind the doors of this area is almost not to be believed.....

A beautiful tree...how old I would have no idea....in the Lezama Park....

Moving toward the Caminito Fair area I passed the LaBoca.....

The La Iglesia Rusa - Russian Church.....

...then the beautiful color of Buenos Aires in this one of a kind area....check these buildings out...and the artwork....

What would Argentina...and Buenos Aires be without Tango......

Well....next up Peron/sights/street views of Buenos Aires....but for the "Photo of the Day"...I love this car....how old must this little beauty be???
