I took a little rest from the photo shoots when I left Amsterdam for Paris. While only in Paris for a few days I spent the time relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Paris. Having coffee or a glass of wine at one of the outdoor cafes....and just taking a leisurely stroll through the city. I have taken a number of photos of the Paris landmarks over the years and decided it was time to re-group before heading off to South American where I knew I would be using the camera non-stop.
Just a couple of shots of my departure and ride from Amsterdam to Paris...it was on the Thalys...a hi-speed train that only made 2 stops....wi-fi on the train was superior.
The tea and sandwiches served was not that bad either.....
.....so when I arrived in Paris I put the camera on "vacation"....it did not re-focus (hehehehe) until my last day in London....some 6 days later. I could not resist heading to one of my favorite stores in London - Harrods....to see what they were doing for Christmas...knowing that by November 1st they would at least have a preview.
The store was still in progress of getting the outside decorated....but inside was a different story....
Of course I could not resist taking a stroll down the aisles of the food halls.....check out these cupcakes...for just 3.50....wait a minute...that is in pounds....meaning each of these in US dollars would be about $5.62...WHATTTTT for a cupcake?
Keep moving....checking out some more of the Food Hall....
Now I head to South America....a mere 14 hour flight from London to Buenos Aires.....where I hope to find some sunshine and warm weather....
The photo of the day....this arrangement of hundreds of white roses at Harrods.....
Wow! Harrod's really does it up for Christmas!
